Supporting Mental Strength: MMDC Stands with Jed Foundation This April

April 27, 2026

Supporting a Mission Dedicated to Protecting Emotional Health

Stress is something we all experience, but for many, especially young people navigating school, relationships, and the uncertainty of the future, it can feel overwhelming and isolating. This April, in recognition of Stress Awareness Month, MMDC is proud to support Jed Foundation, an organization dedicated to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide among teens and young adults.

At its core, Jed Foundation, often known as JED, is built on a simple but powerful idea: no one should have to navigate their mental health challenges alone.

A Mission Rooted in Prevention and Support

The work of JED focuses on equipping young people with the skills and support systems they need to manage life’s challenges and thrive. Their mission is to protect emotional health and prevent suicide by strengthening individuals, schools, and communities.

Through partnerships with schools, organizations, and communities, JED provides resources that help:

  • Build resilience and life skills
  • Encourage help-seeking behaviors
  • Reduce stigma around mental health
  • Create environments where young people feel supported

Their impact is far-reaching, touching millions of students and helping create systems that make mental health care more accessible and approachable.

Why Stress Awareness Matters

Stress Awareness Month serves as a reminder that mental health is not just about crisis, it’s about everyday well-being. From academic pressure to financial concerns and social expectations, stress can quietly build over time if left unaddressed.

JED recognizes this reality and actively provides tools and resources to help young people manage stress in healthy ways. Their initiatives emphasize that small, intentional actions, like pausing, connecting with others, or practicing self-care, can have a meaningful impact on mental well-being.

One of the most important messages they share is simple but powerful: if you’re feeling stressed, you’re not alone.

Why This Matters to MMDC

At MMDC, we believe that supporting mental health initiatives is not just important; it’s necessary. Stress, burnout, and mental health challenges affect individuals across every industry, community, and stage of life.

By supporting JED this April, we’re contributing to a larger effort to create awareness, provide resources, and foster environments where people feel supported and understood.

Stress Awareness Month is not just about recognizing challenges; it’s about taking action, encouraging conversations, and building systems of care that make a real difference.

The work of JED reminds us that mental health is something we all share and have a role in supporting. Because when we support mental health, we support stronger individuals, stronger communities, and a more compassionate world.
