Mystic Media Supports St. Jude’s in Advancing Pediatric Healthcare
Celebrating Compassion and Innovation: Mystic Media’s December Gift to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital

The recipient of Mystic Media’s monthly giving for the month of December is St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Opened in 1962 by Danny Thomas, St. Jude’s continues to advance pediatric healthcare research to this day.
Founded around the goal of treating pediatric cancers, St. Jude’s rapidly advanced their efforts to extend across nearly all major pediatric diseases and conditions. The treatment and research of “catastrophic childhood diseases” has led to cures for leukemia, sickle cell disease, and pneumonias. Although this work is tireless, the staff which has worked with the Center and it's now multiple sister facilities over the decades has always agreed that the work is not only worthwhile, but necessary.
Being opened in Memphis, Tennessee during the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, St. Jude’s Research Center has taken inclusivity seriously since its inception. The facility was the first fully integrated hospital in the area and remains championing inclusivity across all of the centers which St. Jude’s operates. Founder Danny Thomas was quoted as saying, in reference to the inclusive and giving nature of the center, “There are two kinds of people in this world: The givers and the takers. The takers sometimes eat better, but the givers always sleep better."
The MMDC team discusses potential giving recipients each month during weekly team meetings, allowing us to select mission-aligned organizations to which to give. The incredible work and world-class mission which St. Jude’s continues to provide today makes Mystic Media and our team proud to donate to the Center this month, knowing that the donation will be utilized to make a difference in the lives of children in need.
