Serving with Heart: MMDC Supports Faith in Action’s Mission
MMDC Celebrates Community, Compassion, and Connection by Supporting Faith in Action

As the season of gratitude and generosity unfolds, MMDC is proud to shine a light on Faith in Action, our November Monthly Giving Recipient, and a new client, whom we’re especially excited to support. Faith in Action embodies the very spirit of community, connecting volunteers with elderly individuals who need a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply someone who cares.
Faith in Action is an interfaith association that unites people from diverse backgrounds to serve seniors and their caregivers across the tri-county area. Through its network of dedicated volunteers, the organization helps older adults remain independent and connected, whether that means providing a ride to a medical appointment, assisting with errands, mowing a lawn, or checking in for a friendly visit.
Their work may seem simple, but for those they serve, it makes an extraordinary difference. Many elderly individuals face challenges that go beyond mobility or access; they often face isolation, limited support systems, and the emotional toll of aging alone. Faith in Action steps in to fill that gap, transforming everyday acts of service into powerful expressions of dignity, care, and community.
“Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do,” the organization explains. “When a caregiver or senior calls us with a need, whether it’s transportation, grocery shopping, or just companionship, we find someone in our network who can help. It’s neighbor helping neighbor, one connection at a time.”
This mission deeply resonates with MMDC’s values. Just as MMDC strives to help businesses grow through meaningful partnerships and collaboration, Faith in Action strengthens its community by connecting people who care with those who need care most.
By contributing to Faith in Action this November, MMDC hopes to support the volunteers who make this vital work possible; the people who give their time, energy, and compassion to ensure that seniors in their community can continue to live safely and independently.
Faith in Action’s model is beautifully simple: volunteers respond to real needs as they arise. A phone call from a caregiver might lead to a ride across town for a doctor’s appointment. A quick message might connect a volunteer to someone who needs help picking up groceries or raking leaves. Every action, no matter how small, builds connection, trust, and hope.
In a world where technology often dominates how we interact, Faith in Action reminds us of the enduring power of human connection. Their work shows that compassion doesn’t have to be grand or complicated; sometimes, it’s as simple as showing up for someone in your community.
This November, MMDC celebrates Faith in Action’s dedication to kindness, service, and community connection. We’re honored to support their mission and contribute to the impact they’re making every day.
