Supporting Mental Health: MMDC’s May Giving Spotlight on NAMI

At MMDC, we believe in using our platform to make a difference, not just through innovation in digital marketing but through our commitment to community impact. Each month, as part of our ongoing giving initiative, we highlight and support a charitable organization whose work aligns with our values. For May, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we proudly support the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. With chapters across all 50 states, NAMI provides advocacy, education, support, and public awareness - critical tools in breaking down stigma and creating more compassionate, informed communities.

Why Mental Health Matters

Mental health affects every aspect of our lives - from our relationships and productivity to our sense of self and overall well-being. According to NAMI, 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experiences mental illness each year, and 1 in 6 youth aged 6 - 17 experience a mental health disorder annually. Despite the prevalence, many individuals face barriers to care and stigma that prevent them from seeking help.

That’s where organizations like NAMI step in - offering free support programs, crisis resources, educational initiatives, and advocacy work that empower people to speak up, reach out, and find community.

MMDC’s Commitment

By choosing NAMI as our giving recipient for May, MMDC aims to:

  • Raise awareness about the importance of mental health in the workplace and beyond.
  • Support access to resources and programs that help people navigate mental health challenges.
  • Encourage dialogue around the stigma of mental illness, because mental health is health.

Our team is proud to contribute to NAMI’s mission, and we encourage our partners, clients, and community members to explore the many ways they can get involved.

How You Can Help

Supporting mental health can be as simple as listening to someone, sharing resources, or starting a conversation. To take it a step further, consider visiting
