with the YMCA to develop their new web presence and promote
their exciting Building Project.
What's
In A Name? - We are often asked,
"why the name Mystic Media?" Well, mostly it's because
we like the way it sounds, and it makes for a great logo! The
longer story goes like this; when the company was founded back
in 1998 it was called Bald Guy Web Services (If you have the
time to do so, ask Jim to tell you the story about opening his
first business bank account with that name). Following shortly
after the founding of the company Jim had both an existential
and business epiphany. Regarding the former he developed a great
love for the poetry of Rumi, Kabir, Gibran and other "mystics".
Regarding the later, he recognized that the world longed for
someone to dispel the cloud of mystery surrounding the secret
to creating an optimized website. The fates converged and the
synergetic forces of the sacred and the mundane produced the
bubble of thought that "popped" into the name "Mystic
Media". Mostly it is about the logo.
